African Elephant

The african elephant is the largest land mammal alive today. Males are larger than females. Grown males can weight over 10 tons, when born young can weight up to 1 ton. Females can be pregnant up to 1 year. They live in central Africa, in the savannah. Their diet is made out of grass ,hay and branches. In the past they were overhunted almost to extinction.
